First Steps

We met with our coordinator for First Steps tonight. Everything went smoothly. She got the information she needed as far as background stuff goes. She said they would call within 2 weeks to schedule the evaluation and then we would go from there as far as setting up the appointments as long as he "passes" the test! He has to be 25% behind in order to qualify which I don't think would be too hard considering everything he is NOT doing yet. I know that for the evaluation she said they would evaluate EVERYTHING! They would basically observe him while he plays. They'll bring toys and try to stand him up, see if he'll sit up from laying down (which I've only seen him do twice) see if he'll crawl, which he has yet to do, see how he stands when they stand him up...if he will. I'm just hoping that he doesn't show us up and not pass. I will be so furious! Our co-pay based on our income will be VERY minimal so we're not worried about that. The evaluation is free, but anything other than that we'd have the co-pay for. So, the wait begins for now! Hopefully they call soon. I'm ready to get this show on the road!!!!
