Tips on Walking

Does anyone have any tips on helping an infant learn to walk? Leon is 10 months old and not having a desire to stand on his legs for longer than a few seconds. I think he thinks it's a game or he's stubborn or something but he just WON'T do it! He will put some weight on his legs in the exersaucer and jump-a-roo thing we have but refuses to even try to pull himself from laying down to sitting. I have a walker but I've been extremely reluctant to use it. I am considering getting it out and using it tomorrow but haven't decided for sure. Does anyone have any suggestions? The doctor wants to see him in a month if he's not pulling up on his own by then!
