My Weekend
...didn't turn out quite as I had hoped. Nothing really went wrong, I just didn't have as much fun as I had hoped I guess. Saturday we went to Terre Haute. I went to the old Kroger store I use to work at and saw some of the old co-workers. That was actually the highlight of my day Saturday! There ended up being an extra person who came along and I just felt like a 3rd wheel. Not much in common with the other person who came along so I didn't say much or do much. I mean...I talked don't get me wrong...but it wasn't the highlight of my weekend that's for sure. Today we went up to Kokomo and swam with my mother in law, father in law, sister in law and brother in law...along with me, Skip, and Leon obviously. That was a lot of fun. Leon really enjoyed it too. Luckily for us, he slept on the way there and the way back and still went to bed at 8 like normal!
He is doing so well! He's not crawling yet...but I wish he'd do more than rock back and forth already! He tries, but it seems like he's starting to get behind in the crawling area somewhat compared to some of the other kids at daycare. Don't get me wrong, he DEFINITELY gets where he wants to get into things. At least he did tonight for the first time! We have some bookshelves in the living room that apparently are going to have to be moved...where, I have NO clue because we don't have ANY room for them anywhere else in the entire apartment! I was doing dishes and I heard him messing with something so I went to check on him. He was underneath his jump-a-roo kicking it. I thought, Oh, he's fine...didn't think much of it. The next thing I knew, I heard paper...crumpling...and sure enough, he had made it over to the bookshelf (which isn't far AT ALL) and was throwing Skip's CDL information EVERYWHERE!!!! It was so funny but yet frustrating at the same time! I had to take some pictures of him!
Of course he thought it was just hilarious! They always do when they KNOW they are doing something that they shouldn't!
This week is going to be full of cleaning. I have a pampered chef/tastefully simple party on Saturday so I have to clean the house up this week. That should be fun. I'm still waiting to know if Danielle and I are doing anything on Thursday or not. It's her birthday and we had made plans, but now they may be changing. Hopefully I find out soon so that I know what's going on and how much cleaning I need to get done and when I need to get it done! Well, enjoy the pictures of Leon being a kid! He has his 9 month checkup on the 17th. Stay tuned for updates on that!

I like the pics of Leon getting into the papers. :) He definitely DOES get to where he wants to go! We had the same problem so I just ended up boxing up the books on the bottom shelf and replacing them with board books that Ellie could get into. Eventually all of the books had to be replaced with baby books and toys as she got better and better at reaching all the shelves! Leon will be doing that in no time...good luck finding a place for everything!
