Weekend Plans and Misc

I can't wait until Saturday. We are taking Leon to the zoo for the first time! I promise to take TONS of pictures...I hope! It's suppose to be 90+ degrees with high humidity so I think we'll probably stay in most of the indoor things..like the acquariums and stuff. Danielle and I plan on taking them back maybe around October when it's a little cooler outside and we can see more animals doing more things when it's not as hot and humid. I'm sure Leon will absolutely LOVE it no matter when we take him though. Sunday I'm going to my sister's. It'll be the first time I'll see their house with furniture actually in it! I was there the 2nd day after they moved in and you know how that goes...absolutely nothing is put away...especially when you don't have your furniture delivered yet! So, that is what we have planned for this weekend.

The past couple of nights have been rough with Leon. He has woke up screaming about an hour and a half after he lays down. I give him Tylenol and a bottle (last night) and he goes right back to sleep after the Tylenol kicks in. I just don't get it I guess. I know kids will have their nights. He's woke up on his own lately, but this morning it was exceptionally early compared to normal because of the lovely thunderstorms we were having. Gotta love those! It was about time for him to wake up anyway so I don't know if it was him waking up or the thunderstorms waking him up. Either way, he took an excellent nap today at daycare...FINALLY! He hasn't slept all week there so I was glad he took a 2 hour nap this afternoon...along with about a 45 minute one this morning. Maybe things are turning around?!?! We'll see I guess. He takes great naps for me on the weekends, so I don't know what his deal is there except that there are a lot of distractions and he's nosy!

I'm trying to remember what else I was going to write about Leon. Hmmm...he's getting slightly closer to crawling I think. I can't believe he's not yet. I also CAN NOT believe he isn't even trying to pull himself up on anything. The doctor said not to worry about it unless he was 11 months, so I won't, but I'm still shocked! We'll see. I can't believe he's 9 1/2 months old already though either! Where in the world has the time gone?

Tomorrow I will have a special little post for my friend Danielle. Her boyfriend is leaving for Iraq tonight...actually, he should already be on a plane headed over there. Everyone pray for his safe return about a year from now. (as long as he isn't over there longer than that) I did get a chance to meet him and hang out with him. He is really nice and treats her great. He loves her kids, especially Tony, and they've actually spent more time away from each other than they have together. They met right before he left for training. (right before memorial day) It's hard whenever someone leaves whether you are related to them, or just know them or whatever your relationship is with them. I understand families concerns just through how she's handling it. God bless our troops and pray for their safe return!

Enjoy these pics of Leon. He just keeps getting bigger...I can't believe I'm actually getting ready to plan his first birthday party!
Snoozing. He had a LONG day last Saturday...can you tell?
