10 Months!

I can't believe Leon is over 10 months now! I know...it's getting repetitive but I can't help it. He is doing so well.
New things Leon is doing:
waving bye bye
blowing kisses
"talking" more-not really any new words except some sound like yeah but I don't think that's really what he's trying to say.
eating table food

He is LOVING the table food that's for sure! He's been on it for almost a week and a half...strictly table food too! Daycare still gives him a jar of baby food for a snack but that's about it really. He has had corn dogs, ham sandwiches, sloppy joe's, macaroni and cheese, tuna helper (without much tuna at all...at least I tried anyway), chicken noodles, and a lot of other stuff. So far it seems like carrots are his favorite vegetable and he seems to really like raveoli. (the Gerber graduates and the real thing) We already have a HUGE stain on the carpet from the raveoli. He loves it though so I can't really complain. Tonight I gave him a little bit of pizza but he gagged on it and actually threw up a couple of the raveoli's and peas he ate right before hand. Gross I know...but I can't help it. He wasn't choaking just gagging because he had too much in his mouth. He'll learn some day I guess!

He still isn't trying to crawl or pull himself up. He's working more on pulling himself up than crawling though I think. He's just going to have to get mad enough to do it himself really. He wants to but then laughs and sits back down. Hopefully he will be by 11 months because I don't know what the doctor would recommend if he's not. The only thing that comes to mind is maybe some sort of physical therapy or something but that I don't even think she would start or consider until he was well past a year old. If anyone has ideas for how to get him to try to pull up or be more willing to try please let me know! I'm up for any suggestions. I have pictures to post but they are at home. I'm at Danielle's watching "Walk the Line" however the movie wouldn't play so she ran it back to the video store really quick.

Tomorrow night we are going to the fair to see Miranda Lambert at the free stage and Thursday we are going to see Darryl Worley again on the free stage. We saw him a little over a year ago at 8 seconds and we had FRONT ROW TICKETS there. It was awesome! Friday we are seeing Brad Paisley so we have 3 concerts in the next 3 days 2 of the 3 are free! YEAH!! I can't wait! I'll update more later.

I think your best motivation is Leon's curosity and nosiness. Place things he likes to get into up on the couch or on little tables so he wants to get up to see. He has been good so far about figuring out how to get around to what he wants - even it is more creative than just crawling. Some of our friends babies liked to pull up to their exer-saucer thing from the outside to play with the little do-hickies, ESPECIALLY if they put someone else's baby inside of it. But I don't think where he is at is too much to worry about yet. One couple's baby was a walking fool at 1, and the other couple we hang out with's baby wasn't really crawling much at 1, let alone walking. He just was more content and less nosy about things than the other one. But he did start at about 14-15 months and was up to speed in no time. Pretty soon you will be wishing for the days when he was running off in every direction!!
