Getting Around
Noah has upgraded to an army crawl instead of his goofy crawling he was doing. He LOVES to eat table food. He really doesn't get excited at all about baby food anymore. He kind of turns his nose up at it at times. He ate and ate and ate tonight for dinner. I couldn't believe how much he ate! He had macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, broccoli and carrots with cheese, his bottle, and some cheetos. He absolutely LOVES cheetos...the puffy kind. loves them, he will sit and scream for them and gets so excited when he sees the bag!
He is also finally starting to go from laying to sitting on his own. He had done it before, I just FINALLY watched him do it the other day. He finds his own way to get around to what he wants. Plug in outlets just intrigue him for some reason...why do they intrigue any baby??
I got an early birthday gift yesterday. We have been looking at vans, and finally found one with decent mileage, in GREAT shape, and fairly cheap. Skip's car the air doesn't work the greatest, we've replaced the brakes on it twice in just a couple of years, the paint is starting to really chip off of it, and there's a few other things that are just not quite like we'd like them to be. It isn't a bad car, but it's getting pretty old, so we decided to look into it and if we found a decent one we'd get it. The boys love it...renting one for vacation didn't seem to help matters at all I don't think. Leon loves being able to see out the window, and so does Noah. Noah's been crankier in the car lately, but really hasn't been much in the van the last day or so...but it's all new still too. :)
Leon is playing soccer again in the fall. He started practice this week. He doesn't have anyone on his team that he had in the spring, but he doesn't really seem to mind at all. He loved getting out there and running around kicking the ball again! Him and the coach's son were about the only two at practice this week that really knew what they were doing. They played a game called "kick the coach" and Leon got the hang of that really quick! The coach walked around in a circle with the kids and they had to try to kick their ball and hit her with it. He had a hayday with it! It didnt' take long and she says, "I think Leon really has the hang of this game." He was just following her around kicking the ball at her. It was good to see him being so involved this time...having a season under his bealt will hopefully light a firecracker under his butt to get going instead of dilly dally around on the field like he did sometimes last season. He loved it and wanted to play again though.
We are going to an Indians game tomorrow night. They are having fireworks after the game. Leon has NO idea that we are going. He knows we are doing something that is a surprise. He's still been singing "take me out to the ball game" for I don't know how long since t ball has been over. They are having autographs before the game, so we are taking something that he can have some of the players autograph and he'll have his mit there...he'll feel like such a cool kid I'm sure! In a couple weeks we are going to the circus too...he's been talking about that since we got the pamphlet in the mail over a month ago. He keeps telling me, "mom, I want to ride on an elephant at the circus." We'll see about that one!
