One more test

Noah has one more test to have done and hopefully that will be it, but we will have to wait and see. He ate wonderful on Friday and Saturday. He was taking 20+oz per day and eating food, and everything, and then Sunday just completely stopped again. He has continued to decrease the amount of fluids he takes. I took him to the doctor Tuesday and she said his throat was red...again...it seems to be red quite a bit lately. I had enough of it today. I called the GI dr's office and spoke with the nurse and requested that they run more tests. I told her what he's doing, what his doctor says every time I take him and that I think there is something wrong and it needs to be addressed and I want something done before his follow up on August 5th. She said she would speak with the doctor and call me back. A couple hours later, the nurse called back and they have scheduled an endoscopy for July 16th...the day before we are suppose to leave for our mini vacation. Perfect timing I know! He will have to be put out for it, which I already knew. They will use a scope and look at his throat, stomach, esophogus, all the upper stuff and make sure that there isn't anything wrong. She had mentioned looking for inflammation, redness, etc to make sure nothing is going on there. I don't know what could possibly be wrong, but I know something isn't right for him to be doing what he is doing. He did gain almost 2 lbs in a month though so that was a huge plus for him!!! On Tuesday he was 27 inches long and weighed 16.2 lbs. I think he has lost some weight since then. I've only been able to get him to take an ounce at a time, so I've been using a syringe to feed him more fluids at meal times etc. I just know that something isn't right...it's a gut feeling, I just don't know what it is. I really hope this will shed some light on what is going on!

This weekend isn't too busy for us. Tomorrow we are planning a trip to the zoo in the afternoon, and Saturday we are going to my grandparents house for a cookout and fireworks. We got to see the town fireworks on Sunday evening and Leon did great. He was scared with the first big BOOM but after that he didn't seem to mind the noise at all. Noah just kept staring at the bright moon until he saw some light out of the corner of his eye and then he'd watch the fire works and go back to the moon. It was quite humorous actually. :) I kind of miss the warmer weather we were having. It was like 90+ which I don't like it that hot, but lately it has barely been 70 which is kind of chilly for me. Hopefully the weather makes up its mind what it's going to do soon. :)
