Off Oxygen!

As of right now Noah is off the oxygen. They were able to get him down to the 21% today and maintain his oxygen levels. Last night when we left the hospital he was down to about 23% and they moved it back up to 30% overnight because once he was in a deep sleep, they said his levels dipped below where they wanted them. He has been sleeping most of this afternoon while they had it down to the 21% so hopefully tomorrow it will still be there when I get there! If not, then it's more weaning and hopefully he's able to stay consistent with it. He did get to try the bottle today. He did well with a slow flow nipple, however, we did try a slower flow nipple as well. While we were changing the nipples, he actually let out a very LOUD burp and then just stared at us. It was funny. He then paced himself with the other nipple. He drank about 10ml fine and then fell asleep so we finished it with his tube. I'm not sure what their plan is on feeding him exactly with a bottle. I'm assuming we will need him to get to take a whole bottle and then work our way up from there. He does the same thing that a normal baby would do if you gave them a too fast flow nipple to drink out of. He doesn't really gag just has a funny look on his face and tries to swallow it down without it running out of his mouth. He did really well though. I'm not sure what they have in store for tomorrow. Hopefully when I get there, he will have a nurse that will actually give me some information. Not all of them do, but most of them do. He could always go back on the oxygen tonight if his levels dip, but I'm hoping he stays stable and is able to get off of it completely. He's still on the air, but no oxygen. I am confused how that all works, but I'm assuming he'll be off of it very soon too. I wouldn't mind seeing my baby without the tubes all over him! :) I'll keep everyone updated.
