Big Brother things

Leon is getting more and more funny the more he sees Noah. The other day he saw me pumping and asked me what I was doing. I told him that I was getting some food for baby Noah to eat later. Of course, like any child who has no clue what on earth you are doing just stares at me. When I finished, he says, "Yeah, mommy, now Noah can eat!!!" He was SO serious. Today was the first day he actually wanted to stay in the room for a while with Noah. He got to see him eat (through his tube still) Skip was holding him while he just talked to him. Noah actually opened his eyes to see who was talking to him I guess. Leon got all excited. I'm glad he's excited though. That makes me happy to know that he wants him to do things. I'm not sure he quite understands though. He still will get up in the mornings and kiss my belly and occasionally say hi to my belly like he's still in there, but then he also is starting to understand it takes me a little longer to get around and wants to help me get out of bed, and things like that. He's so cute though! He'll understand more once he gets home and realizes he's not going away though.

Noah is down to 2 liters of air and 38% oxygen right now. He's doing great and they probably will wean him down even more tonight or tomorrow. He was so much more alert today than what he has been. He's got quite the attitude though! He LOVES his pacifier...that's almost an understatement though. He continues to improve everyday. There hasn't been any major concerns the doctor has mentioned to me lately that they are worried about. He does have another echocardiogram scheduled for the end of this week...tentatively anyway. There was one part of his heart that hadn't closed completely and they were giving it some time to close. If not, they can give him medicine for it to close. The doctor wanted to do it a couple of days before he left the hospital, so I'm not real sure if that means he'll be getting out the beginning of next week or not. It will all depend on how well he continues to improve. I'm hoping to get pictures downloaded tonight, but if I don't, I will get them done this weekend I hope. More updates later.
