Short and Sweet

This will be short because I'm really tired and just want to go to bed. :) Monday I went to the doctor and the "date" is set for October 14th for the c-section. Noah is in position for a normal birth, but that really doesn't matter in my case. (at least he's in position now anyway...that could always change though) Basically, what we found out overall is...he's a big baby! He weighed in at almost 4 1/2 pounds on Monday during the ultrasound. He's measuring about 2-2 1/2 weeks bigger than I am far along. (which explains the reason I've been measuring bigger) He is in the 80 percentile right now. The doctor said until he gets to the 90 percentile he's not worried. The normal range for amniotic fluid was between something and 20 and mine was at 16 so he said that was good. If he was on the abnormally big side, the amniotic fluid level would have been over 20 but everything is normal...just on a little of the big side. I go back in 2 weeks and then 2 weeks after that (4 weeks) I will have another ultrasound to check his size again. This was the first ultrasound I've ever had this far along. With Leon I think my last one was at 24 weeks maybe. It is kind of neat to see how much bigger and developed things are later in the pregnancy. We did confirm again that he is definitely a boy...that was the first thing we saw...legs wide open to show everything. Apparently he isn't going to be too shy about things. I also found out that I will be having a spinal and more than likely only be in the hospital for 2-3 days. I know I will have quite a few restrictions like last time, but I want to get home sooner than last time too. Last time I was in the hospital for 5 days, 4 nights. He said he usually has first time moms stay that long to get use to the baby, changing diapers, nursing, that kind of stuff which makes sense, but with 2nd and over moms it isn't as much of a concern for him. We haven't hurt the first one too bad, so we're able to care for another I guess. :) More updates on the pregnancy front later.

I went back to the foot doctor on Tuesday and they did another x-ray to make sure the bone was healing like it should be. It is lined up and positioned correctly and is healing nicely. I only have to wear my shoe/boot through the end of the weekend he said and then I can go to a hard soled shoe. Nothing flexible or anything, but something with a lot of support. It's still very tender at times, but nothing like what it was when I first did it. I go back to him in 3 weeks...I'm assuming they'll do another x-ray to make sure it's all healed up and hopefully won't have to go back, but we will see. I'm just glad that no surgery is going to be required. The x-ray tech asked the question he's suppose to, "Is there a chance that you are pregnant?" Duh...look at me and what do you think?? I know they have to ask anyway. I said, yes, definitely. He asked when the due date was, how far along, those types of questions. He assured me that in the 3rd trimester that the only risk is the same risk it would have to an adult...not much. It's obviously more risky in the first trimester than at the end. I wasn't really that worried about it because I know the baby is already formed and all it has left to do is grow even more. It's nice to be reassured though sometimes. :) He put me in 2 layers of the lead protection stuff just to be on the safe side. One that was like a shirt on backwards and then another one just over my belly. That was kind of nice.

I only have 6 weeks left of work after this week though! I can't wait!!!!!! I'm so ready to have a LOOOOOOOONG break from that place. I'm going crazy lately. October 10th, Leon's birthday will be my last day of work. Yeah!!
