Could it be??

an ear infection? Yesterday daycare called me and said that Leon had diarrhea. Of course, they kept giving him JUICE!!!!!! HELLO PEOPLE...juice can cause diarrhea! So, I went and picked him up and took him to the doctor to make sure that nothing was wrong...and nothing was wrong. She wrote a note saying only to give Leon whole milk and water at daycare other than his bottle. So, we're good to go for today..right??? WRONG...they call me again at about 3:30 and tell me that he is running a fever of 101.4 at 3 and then 101.7 at 3:30...so it just continued to go up! So, of course, again I had to go pick him up. I gave him some Motrin at daycare because that's all I have there and then called the doctor to see if I could get him in today. They said that the doctor had already left, but they could get him in tomorrow morning at 8:45...so I settled on that. By the time we had gotten home and he had gotten inside and sat down on the floor, he wasn't warm anymore. I don't think I've ever felt him this warm! He was burning up. He hasn't wanted to drink hardly anything but he's eating fine. Everytime he has a bowel movement with me he hasn't had diarrhea...so we'll see what morning brings I guess! As bad as this sounds...I really really hope that he has an ear infection so that I don't have to worry about this darn virus that apparently is going around...although he has symptoms that most people aren't having with that. I guess they are worried at daycare because one kid had the rotavirus so of course they are taking bigger precautions. I understand...but still. The doctor said there had been a virus going around with diarrhea and nausea but he obviously doesn't have that! So I don't know what's wrong with him. I'll keep you posted tomorrow! I really hope I can find someone to help me out tomorrow though because one of the girls isn't going to be there tomorrow which puts a TON of stress on the other girl if I can't find a sitter for him. Hopefully he will have an ear infection but be fever free and the doctor will ok him to go back tomorrow...all I can do is hope right now!!! I'll keep you posted!
