Mommy, is that a monster??
I know I haven't updated in a while but things have been extremely busy around our house and they will just continue to go that way. Leon started soccer a couple weeks ago, so we have that 2 days a week, I have classes, Noah has therapy, etc etc...the list goes on and on.
Noah has his followup tomorrow with the ENT for his reflux...which I think is finally under control! We switched to whole milk yesterday which he does not like without pediasure in it!! His nutritionist wants me to mix whole milk with the pediasure to get him in some extra calories...so that's exactly what we're doing. He still doesn't want to drink much unless you make him...I don't get that, but as long as he drinks I guess we will just have to adjust to that!! Noah has a very minor surgery scheduled for Friday morning so we will be dealing with his recovery for a couple of days. He has a week in between and when he goes for his followup supposedly...we'll find out soon enough I guess!
Leon has had two birthday parties to go to the last two weekends. This weekend he has another one, and then the next two weekends are the boys birthday party and another party we're having for Leon to invite all of his friends too. He went to a birthday party at an inflatable place a couple weeks ago and loved it! His first request for his "friends" bday party was at the childrens museum, and then a couple days later, he politely requested that it be "where Frank's birthday was" so I called and they had several open times so I booked a party for the weekend after his birthday. I think he's just excited that his birthday is fianlly going to be here. He's talked about it for about 6 months now I think!
My first anatomy test is tomorrow for lab and Sunday for lecture. I'm a little nervous but just ready to get it done and over with!!! Yesterday when Noah's occupational therapist was here she told me that she had a plastic color coded skull that she could bring me this morning if I wanted to use to help me study for my test. I greatly accepted and so this morning before we left for preschool she brought it over for me. Leon was up and in the process of getting dressed when I answered the door. He looked a little confused as to what it was. As I shut the door and went to put it up so he wouldn't play with it, he says, "mommy, is that a monster?" I told him, that it was all of the bones that make up your head and face. He looked at me kind of funny...how do you explain that to a 4 year old?!?! Then he says, "no mommy, it's a monster." I went along with it and told him it was a nice monster and that it won't hurt him but he isn't allowed to play with it. He knows that I'm going back to school and understands that I have homework etc. to do...so in the evenings while I'm doing some homework, he has started doing "his" homework...which mainly consists of coloring and practicing trying to write his letters...he's doing much better. He can write his name, although he never puts the letter side by side like they should be. They are always scattered on the paper, but he's at least trying and knows what letters are in his name. He sits in the chair and says, "L-E-O-N...that spells Leon!!" He's so proud of himself!!! More updates later as time allows!!
