And the Verdict Is...

The ear infection is actually gone!! What Noah does have is acid reflux...which is causing him to not want to eat. His throat is really red and irritated. I never really thought he had it because he's not normally really fussy, except for the last few days. He never wants to lay down unless it's bedtime, he doesn't want to eat, all that and a few other things I'm sure I'm not thinking of add up to acid reflux. He is on some meds for it that he takes twice a day. The doctor thinks that maybe the antibiotic irritated it a little more and caused it to flare up some, but all in all, he's a very happy and healthy baby! He has to eat today through the tube and then we can go back to the bottle tomorrow and see if he's improved any. She wants to give him some time for the medicine to work. She said it will definitely be working in 24 hours, but won't take effect immediately or anything. Hopefully tomorrow he'll suck down some 6 oz bottles...if not more...time will tell! I just want the tube gone for good! The doctor even agreed that he is doing fine taking the bottle because if he's not, he would have pneumonia and be coughing a lot and that kind of stuff. He shows no sign of aspiration or anything...just doesn't want to eat because of heartburn. It makes sense to me.

His neurosurgeon appointment went well too. He is allowed to wash his hair and he doesn't need a follow up unless I have questions or concerns or anything. He's a pretty happy go lucky baby! I have some antibiotic ointment she wants me to put on it at night to help reduce the scar some, but it looks really good. The scabs are almost all gone now from the ointment as well. I will update more later.
