Mr Drink-a-Lot

Noah has finally had one full day of consistently taking 5 oz bottles every 4 hours. He was getting about 5 1/2 through the tube every 4 hours, so he's in my opinion, taking all of his bottles by mouth and doing very well at it! I thickened them on Saturday because he wasn't taking very much, and yesterday I got him to take it unthickened. He took 4 1/2 at the very least yesterday and that was just one time, so he's pretty much had 2 consecutive days at taking full bottles all day. I'm so proud of him. He's doing so well. He doesn't have the feeding tube in any more. I called today to tell them that I don't need any supplies because he's been doing great at taking them by mouth. They asked if he has any vomiting, diarrhea, or anything and I said no, which he hasn't. They asked if he's been gaining weight and to my knowledge, he has been. He weighed 14 lbs last week when he was at the doctor for his ear infection. He's been taking everything by mouth ever since then except for one day, so we will see what he weighs tomorrow when he goes to the doctor for his follow up from his surgery. I hope I can wash his hair tomorrow night! I'd be so excited. I'm not sure that all of his stitches had dissolved enough to wash it yet though. We will find out in the morning when he goes to see the neurosurgeon though I guess! I'll update more tomorrow. :)
