Poor Baby

Leon has been sick since Saturday evening. He started out with a fever and a god awful cough. It continued through Sunday and I decided I was taking him to the doctor on Monday morning. The diagnosis: CROUP!!! I have had a lot of people say, "Does that still exist??" Yes...it does. He is on a steroid for 3 days and doing much better, however, still VERY cranky. He has turned into a huge mamma's boy the last few days. I went shopping tonight while he ate dinner with Skip at home to spend some of my birthday money at Lane Bryant. I came out really good I may add! They had some really good sales going on plus I had some coupons from the last time I went shopping there. I ended up getting 5 shirts and 3 pair of jeans and only spent less than $12 out of pocket. I was WAY excited. Anyway, while shopping, I got a call from Skip and Leon was so upset. Once I talked to him he calmed down...for a little while. He is just really really tired with being sick and the medicine and everything. He has been in bed at 7 the previous 2 nights and taken a 2 1/2 hour nap everyday until today. I'll have to get him to bed early tomorrow and give him the weekend to recover I guess. He sounds a LOT better than he did yesterday. The "croupy" cough is gone, even though he is still coughing some and his fever has been gone for about 48 hours now so that is good. Hopefully he doesn't get this again!

Today I had a dentist appointment to get some teeth filled. It was suppose to be 2 but ended up being 3 once he started on the others. Oh well...at least it was all done with one visit. Leon watched in amazement. One of the hygenists stayed in the room and played with him the whole time. He did really well. He got a free stuffed monkey out of it which he totally adores now. He dropped it outside the car while I was buckling him in the car seat and boy did he let me know about that! He yelled at me until I understood "MONKEY MOMMY." Kids...they are so sweet sometimes! While we were there, the dentist along with the assistant and hygenist all commented on how huge of a vocabulary he has for a 2 year old...well, almost 2. I never really thought about what he can say, but he repeats EVERYTHING you ask him to and you can understand it. He's doing a lot more talking and less babbling...even though there is still a lot of babble.

Tomorrow, I have to take the dog to the vet to get him updated on his shots. He is becoming more and more attached to Skip I think. Leon loves him but sometimes he's still mean to him. He doesn't understand how rough he is I think though. I think that is all the information. I'm going to do some research on houses now I guess.
