Job News

Well, I do have a position lined up! YEAH for me!!! I am still waiting to hear about 2 interviews that I had with one company. They said that it would be 5-7 business days and I would find out either way. 5 days was Thursday so that means Wednesday would be 7 business days. If I don't hear anything by the end of next week I'm going to assume I am not getting the position. That is giving them a few extra days in there too. I do however, have a job as of June 4th. As of right now, this will be a summer job, however, if I don't hear anything by next week I have already told them that as long as they have a full time position open at the end of the summer, I would love to be full time-permanently. (the chances of them having a full time permanent position open is actually really good. I'd say probably 90% maybe...who knows until later on though for sure) So, as of June 4th, I will be working at the same daycare that Leon currently goes to. I didn't want to take him out. He absolutely loves it there, I love the teachers, kids, everybody there. He is so happy there and I just couldn't see taking that away from him if I didn't absolutely have to. I've been so upset for about a month about taking him out of daycare. I honestly believe for him it is good. He is talking so well, doing so many things that I don't really think he would be doing if he were home with me all the time. Granted, I can teach him stuff like colors, shapes, and stuff like that, but he gets so much interaction with other kids his age as well and that is really good for him. I know some people don't agree, but I do think it is good for him. I love kids, want more someday...the number is not really definite, but I want more kids. I love working with them. A lot of the younger ones, and some of the older ones I know or know their parents just from passing them in the hallway from picking up their children. The environment is so relaxed, and I do think I'll really like it. If I don't, well, then obviously I wouldn't want to stay permanently, but for now, it's an option...and I have to think about other things too in case they don't have a permanent position later on in the summer too. For now, that will be what I am doing though. Only time will tell what else happens! Wish us luck!

Good luck! I think it will be a nice change and just think of all the extra time you will get to spend with Leon! It will be so nice to be able to just walk down the hall to get him instead having to drive from a different job. He's going to love it too!
