The 3 week cold...
...has finally taken its toll on Leon! He has had the darn thing forever it seems. He really just hasn't been himself starting on Wednesday. On the way home from daycare he fell asleep in the car...which whatever, he tends to do that sometimes. So, I stopped by Taco Bell and Burger King for dinner knowing that I had TONS and TONS of cookies to make Wednesday night for Thanksgiving. He ate a couple french fries and like half of a chicken nugget but cried and fought the entire time...so I gave him a really quick bath and put him to bed. He basically was asleep from 5:30 on except for about 45 minutes in between once we got home and he went to bed. So, you'd think he'd get up early right...wrong. He woke up at about 9:15 and then didn't take a very good nap at my sister's. He cried the first time I put him down for about 45 minutes so I got him up and gave him a snack which he almost refused to eat. Then he finally slept for about an hour after we had dinner. (lunch really) Then we went out to my parents for a little bit where he FINALLy ate decent. Then he was ready to go to sleep at like 6:30! This is so not my kid! He's in bed between 7:30 and 8 most of the time. Normally around 7:45-ish. He fell asleep in the car and went to bed without even waking up...and again slept until about 9-9:15. Then he started in on the coughing and running a fever. So, I put him down at 12 for his nap...he woke up at 3:30...yes, he slept 3 1/2 hours and I decided to take him to immediate care to make sure nothing was wrong with the fever, sleeping like crazy, and not eating well at all. Nope...everything's fine...just use saline drops for his nose to clear the congestion and run the humidifier...check and check..been doing both for about 2-3 weeks now! Last night he started coughing really bad though. Today it just kept getting worse and worse. He was starting to sound like he did the last time they put him on breathing treatments, so we broke out the nebulizer tonight! I gave him one at 7 and another one at about 11:15 or so. His coughing has subsided a lot though. He's actually breathing better too. We bought a warm mist humidifier today because I figured it would help a little more as far as opening up his nose etc. with the congestion. (we also have a cool mist one which we normally use) So, combined hopefully he'll be over this darn thing within a couple of days. He isn't wheezing or anything but his cough just doesn't sound right. He's almost making himself sick because he's coughing so much. I'd rather start him on them now than wait until Monday to take him to the doctor and then have bigger issues to deal with! If he continues and doesn't get better, by all means I will take him on Monday though!
Now...on to better things...his physical therapy! He's doing great I have to say. He has even surprised the physical therapist I think! She made a comment about if he continues like he currently is...she won't be coming much longer! He is crawling EVERYWHERE now. He will pull up to his knees and sit there and play for a while, but he doesn't quite pull up completely yet. He's standing more and more it seems. He still will stand long enough to get what he wants and then sit. He's definitely improving though. Last week during therapy we worked on "walking" just to get his legs to move in the motions and he cried through the whole thing, but he always does when you "make" him do something he doesn't want to do. Eventually he thinks it is a game...but you have to work with him for a little while before he thinks it's fun. He's getting there on that though...it'll just take time! I know he's behind and at first it was a little hard to accept...but at least he's getting the help he needs now. We get to be there for the physical therapy which is GREAT as far as I'm concerned. We know more what we are suppose to work on with him than him doing it at daycare and being really confused...and us not getting all the details. I don't think I'd have it any other way as long as I could help it! Hopefully in time he'll be walking and running all over the place...he's definitely crawling faster and faster...almost too fast sometimes that he gets way ahead of himself and almost face plants flat into the carpet! It's actually quite funny. Skip tries to protect him so he doesn't fall...but if he doesn't fall, he's never going to learn...he's always going to think there's going to be something there to cushion his fall...as far as I'm concerned most of the time...it's his diaper! Boy...I'm definitely not acting like the first time mom I thought I'd be that's for sure!!!!!
Here are Leon, Cameron, and Tony in their halloween costumes! We had all three of their pictures taken a while ago and just got them back and ready to post on here! How cute of kids do we make??? Enjoy!!

Adorable photo! Good job on Leon's progression in pt!!
One of the moms in our baby class recommended using those SudaCare children's vapor plug in's. It's suppose to help with the congestion and it's not a medication, just the menthal vapor that helps. Might want to give that a try. I'm sure you can find it at Target or Walmart.
Hope he's feeling better soon!
