TEETH
Boy do I wish the teething process was over already?!?! The only thing I can think of would be that his teeth were bothering him last night. He had a low grade fever until around 2:15 yesterday which went up to around 101.3 which still isn't really high. I took him to the doctor to have his ears checked and those were fine, his throat was fine etc. So, I brought him home afterwards and gave him some Tylenol before bedtime just to help aleviate some of the pain he was having. It seemed to work until about 2am when he cried for about 4 hours non stop. He'd settle down for a couple minutes but by the time I got back to the bedroom and back in bed he'd start it again. I gave him some more Tylenol at about 4 since he just wouldn't stop crying. Then he continued and I kept thinking, well, it has to kick in...eventually it has to right...WRONG! Tylenol did not do a THING for him! So, at around 6 I gave him some Motrin and it took about 20 minutes and he was OUT! He slept until about 10 and got up...so at least I got to sleep in. Since he was up all night I decided it was best for him to stay home today from daycare. The doctor told me last night too that as long as he wasn't running a fever, had trouble sleeping, vomiting, etc. he was fine to go to daycare but if any of the above happened, he needed to stay home. After the night we had last night I don't blame her for telling me that! So, he stayed home today. He ate breakfast decent until I gave him his vitamin...then he wanted NOTHING to do with it. I'm assuming it left a bad taste in his mouth. So he ate a good lunch and now is taking a nap. I can only hope that he sleeps well tonight. I'll be giving him Motrin before bedtime again to make sure he sleeps well. I'll also let daycare know they can give him some if he's cranky too. He no longer even has the low grade fever. He felt warm in the middle of the night but he was crying too. I took his temperature twice and it was 99.6 and 99.4 an hour later so it was going down on it's own at least. I think he just had the fever because of his teeth. I hope his "I" teeth cut through the skin VERY soon though!
