Poor Baby
Leon is still not improving much as far as his eye is concerned. He has Periorbital Celluitis. Has anyone ever heard of this before? His eye lid is swollen, almost completely shut. It is red and he looks horrible. I just can't get over it. I took him to Immediate Care today because the swelling was almost getting worse even though the redness for a while was getting better. So, I took him into the doctor and they have given me some eye drops to use twice a day. They kept him on the same antibiotic, however, they have increased his amount from 2 ml to 5 ml twice a day! Yes...that's over doubling it! I'm just hoping that it works. He's had his eye drops twice today and the antibiotic twice, however, only once was at the 5 ml. The other dose was at the 2. I just hope this works. If he's not better by Monday I will call his pediatrician again and I'm afraid they will have us go to the hospital to have some tests ran. I just don't understand why it's not going down any. When he first wakes up it is down some but it goes right back to where it was within like 5 minutes. I just hope that the increase in antibiotic helps and the eye drops help. I'm suppose to hold a warm wash cloth on his eye too for 10-15 minutes...YEAH RIGHT! All he does is cry the entire time! It does seem to help. I've only managed to do it twice today for a total of about 5 minutes...maybe! I'll have to tie him down tomorrow I guess to get him to let me do it. If it's the only way to get him to look better I'll do it! Wish us luck that it's gone down a lot by morning!

Ooh...that sounds so awful! Poor guy...we'll be keeping him in our thoughts. Hopefully it will be improved enough that he won't have to go to the hospital on Monday! Keep us updated...
