Rough Evening

Yesterday evening was very stressful. Leon kept screaming and screaming. I gave him gas drops several times because he kept burping and everything. Thursday night was rough too though. I did change something in his diet and tonight I'm going back to the old way to see if that was what it was. I've been giving him Oatmeal in the morning for his cereal and then in the evening the past 2 nights I've given him oatmeal and his vegetables. (I don't give him very much cereal in the evening...just enough to hold him through the night really. This has helped tremendously since he wasn't sleeping through the night a couple weeks ago) I've always given him rice with his vegetables before but this week I switched it the past 2 nights. He does fine with the oatmeal in the morning but about 1/2 an hour after he eats in the evening he screams his head off. So, I've decided to switch it tonight and see if he goes back to his old normal self. He has ate so well the past few days, especially at daycare! He's still not sleeping as much as I'd like him to at daycare, but he's sleeping better and more than he was before. Last night went like this:
6:00-Leon was whining and ready to eat. By 7:00 he was acting extremely tired. So, I put him to bed at 7. 7:30-he wakes up screaming in pain like his belly hurt. So, I gave him some gas drops and held him/rocked him. 8:30 he's finally asleep again in his crib. 9:30-wakes up screaming again! repeated what I did earlier. 10:30-asleep again in his crib. This time he didn't wake up screaming and I went to bed just in case I was in for a long night ahead of me. He did whine some around 2:30, 4:30, and around 6...probably some more times in between there. He tends to roll over to his back in his sleep and then can't get back over to his belly so he whines. I go in, give him his pacifier, roll him over, and he's out again. He ended up getting up at around 7 this morning. He's normally up at 6, but with the night he had last night I was pretty sure he wouldn't be up so early! I was hoping he'd sleep until like 8 though...oh well. So, this morning, I gave him oatmeal and his bottle. He's laying down for his nap right now. Hopefully he'll take a good one too. Then, when he gets up, I'll give him the rest of the carrots I gave him last night and some RICE cereal. (there is just a tiny bit left from last night) I wanted to start him on sweet potatoes tonight, so I wanted to finish the carrots since he'll be doing his 3-4 days on those to make sure he has no allergies. We'll see what tonight has in store for us I guess!! I'll update tomorrow as to how he does switching back to the rice cereal at night. He loves the oatmeal and I really want to finish the box I have too...we'll see!!
