MIA

I've been bad about posting lately. I have TONS of pictures to upload...which I know I've been saying for quite some time now. I think our nursing visits are over now, but won't know for sure until I hear from his "usual" nurse on Monday. Today he weighed in at 10 lbs 3 1/2 oz. They haven't measured him since the first one which he had grown over an inch since birth by then. Noah is doing very well though. He's up to 3 oz finally. We tried it on Monday but he just wasn't digesting it as quickly so I called his doctor cause...hello...the tube feedings are ALL new to me! She said to go back down to 85ml and except for at night and the first feeding in the morning for 24 hours and then re-evaluate. Well, today was the first day he was able to digest all 90 (3oz) every 3 hours without hardly any residual. I know half of you are wandering what the heck I'm talking about. I've learned so many "new" medical words for things lately. It's basically, what hasn't digested.

I've actually learned so much that sometime...not right now or anytime VERY soon, I'm thinking about looking into going back to school to go into nursing. Granted, I'm doing the medical stuff now to help my child, but I'm actually loving it. I've done so much research on all kinds of things, but I really think I would enjoy it. It's all way down the road and everything, but it's something I'm thinking about looking into. I never thought I would ever go back to school, but it's a possibility now. We'll see...only time will tell!

Leon is doing great at being a big brother. He gets better everyday. He loves to kiss and hug Noah. Sometimes Noah looks at him with a very strange look, but goes along with it for the most part.

Noah goes back for his follow up swallow study on December 3rd. I'm really hoping that he passes. He's doing great with what little of the bottle they are allowing him to have. I hope we will be able to introduce more bottles to him and hopefully start leaving the tube out more and more. He's so much cuter with it out! I'm sure he would be much happier without it too.

Leon started preschool on Tuesday and absolutely LOVES it. He asks to go every day. I'm hoping to get him in more days starting in January, but for now, I wanted to see how well he would like it. The first day, he went for a ride with Skip in his car and had to drive past school to tell it night night. It was so cute. Some of the things he does just cracks me up. I have some video I took of him today that I'll have to post soon. He was "fixing" the baby gate. It was hilarious! I'll update more with pictures hopefully!
