Update

Well, since Leon was sick yesterday he wasn't allowed to go to daycare. 24 hour rule...no vomiting or fever for 24 hours...most of you know how that goes. Good news so far though...I gave him the pedialyte like they told me to. I gave him 1/2 an ounce every 30 minutes until 8:00 when I gave in and called the doctor. He was screaming because he was starving. The directions from the hospital said to water down the formula, but I wanted to double check with the doctors office about that one. They said to give him about 2 ounces every 2 hours and see what he does. So, he got 2 ounces and then 2 more, then 3 and then 3 1/2. Before bed time I was going to let him eat what he wanted and he ate 4 before he fell asleep. He has slept well for the most part today. He took a 2 1/2 hour nap and then a 1 1/2 hour nap. He fell asleep in the bouncy chair for at least half an hour and then fell asleep while I was burping him for a few minutes until the phone rang. Then he was down for the count after his bath and filling his belly for bed time! He was laughing and carrying on this evening so he seems to be back to normal for the most part. He's got to get his eating up some, but he's doing pretty good really. He is keeping hydrated pretty well. As the day progressed, his diaper was a little bit more full each time. He had one NASTY bowel movement. I know it was just getting the sickness out but it was horrid smelling! Boy was he glad to get out of that one! I'll update tomorrow or Friday on how he's doing then. Hopefully this was just a 24 hour bug because he's been fine all day as far as keeping down his formula and everything. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Saturday he has a full day of visiting relatives in Crawfordsville, and then with Skip's side here in Indianapolis for dinner along with my brother-in-laws family I think as well. He'll be tired Saturday night...good thing he has Sunday to recover!!
