6 Months and Misc

Today has been pretty good so far. The second night Leon was in the hospital the pediatrician on duty said to give him an ounce of pedialyte every time he had diarrhea. I've tried to stick with that here at home too, but he WON'T drink the pedialyte for some reason. I don't know if it's the flavor or just that he wants food. He starts to drink it and then turns his head. Who knows, he is spoiled when it comes to the temperature of his bottles! Maybe it's just not warm enough for him?!?! He is eating great and keeping most of it in too! He does have a little diarrhea still, but it's getting more normal each time he goes. Hopefully by the time he goes to daycare on Wednesday he will be back to normal. He is eating about 5 ounces already! He's eating me out of the house :) I'm so glad that things are returning to normal though. I'm considering putting him back on his rice cereal either tonight for dinner or tomorrow for breakfast just to see how he does with it. He's just wanting to eat about 5 ounces every 2 hours. I wanted to make sure his fluid intake was back up to where it should be before giving him solids again. He hasn't gotten sick since Friday so that's great news in that area!! We'll see what the day has in store for us!

He is 6 months old today too...where on earth has the time went?? It just keeps going by faster and faster and he's doing more and more things so quickly. He is just as sweet as ever though. My parents are coming to see how he's doing today and I'm going to run to Target to get some things for him since he's almost out of some stuff...like wipes since he has went to the bathroom so often for so long...and some stuff for diaper rash! He's never had it until now. I have Desitin but I'm going to see what else I can find too. I've been using a little cornstarch powder along with the desitin and it has seemed to help tremendously but we'll see what it looks like when he gets up from his nap. He has slept for an hour so far! He needs to sleep though to recover from everything else that's been going on as far as being sick and just plain worn out! I'm doing laundry again today. That seems like a chore that is never ending...especially now that we have his laundry. Hopefully his laundry slows down since he's not pooping out the sides of his diapers as much anymore...another sign he's getting better!!! Yeah!!! I'll keep everyone updated as to what is going on later.
