Home Sweet Home

Well, after 2 nights in the hospital, Leon is finally able to keep down food and urinating VERY well and his diarrhea has improved drastically. He was admitted Friday evening and they were going to let him out last night but the doctor felt that he still had too much diarrhea to let him out yet, so they kept him until today. We left the hospital around lunch time and haven't been home for very long. He slept great last night in the hospital. The first day every time he'd wake up he would cry because it was so unfamilliar. He immediately looked for me no matter who had him. I'm assuming he felt better knowing I was there with him. So, needless to say it has been a long and extremely stressful weekend for us! The doctor isn't allowing him back to daycare until Wednesday so he gets 2 more full days at home to rest. Boy does he need it as well as mommy! He had a severe ear infection too which looks a lot better now. I requested that they look at it before we left. He had 2 doses of antibiotic in his IV. The last one was last night. He is pretty much acting normal again. He was asleep when we got home. I let him sleep in the carseat while I ate lunch and he woke up and looked around and once he realized he was home and saw me he immediately smiled. I'm so glad he is doing much better. Hopefully this crazy virus has finished running it's course with him and things will be back to normal. I will continue to update!
