Another Baby...
My best friend is pregnant and almost to her due date...February 24th. She went to the doctor today and she is 3 cm dilated and they have set her induction date for next Friday the 17th!! I'm so excited for a couple reasons.
1. I get to be at the birth...it's just figuring out what to tell my boss tomorrow if she goes into labor on her own before then. He has already told me that it's fine for a vacation day, but what if he doesn't cooperate with me and my "availability"? (the baby, not my boss)
2. Our sons will be 4 months apart!!!! She's having a boy and I am so excited. I told her when I was pregnant that we should be pregnant at the same time and have a boy and a girl and they could grow up and get married...as a joke. Then, it really did happen. She was about 20 weeks to the day behind me in her pregnancy. Her pregnancy was a COMPLETE surprise, but hey...it obviously was meant to be for her to have a second child. I'm so excited though about being able to be at the birth and to be able to meet baby Tony!!! Tony...your mom and I want you to come this weekend!!! I'll keep you updated and with her permission...a picture or two! Leon will have a "best friend" to play with, not only when we are hanging out together, but at daycare too!!! (They will be going to the same daycare!) I can't wait!

Being at present at the birth of a baby is the most amazing thing. I think it's probably even more awesome after you've been through it yourself. I was so lucky to get to witness the birth of my best friend's child (about 5 months after Grace was born) and think that was even cooler than Grace's birth. Enjoy it and hopefully work won't be an issue.
